As equals
We know the workshop floor, the building site and the practice from our own experience. With us you negotiate with entrepreneurs, directly and without layers in between.
You have built a good company. We help you turn it into the market leader. evo Capital is a Swiss private investor group of former and active entrepreneurs. We bring capital, add-on acquisitions and the experience of more than 112 transactions. Leadership, name, people and culture stay with you.
evo Capital is not backed by anonymous money. Behind it are entrepreneurs and investors who have themselves helped grow groups from a few dozen to several hundred employees. As partners to management, not as its boss. We back the people who made the business successful. Together with them we shape the strategy, secure the financing and the acquisitions, and work as partners: constructively and as equals. As the group grows, new roles emerge. We fill them together, from within the business or from outside. You keep running day-to-day operations, just as before.
We know the workshop floor, the building site and the practice from our own experience. With us you negotiate with entrepreneurs, directly and without layers in between.
Our partners make the decisions themselves, at the table and not in a committee. You quickly know where you stand, and we stand by our commitments, even when a year turns out to be harder.
We do not run operations. Strategy, next steps and acquisitions are worked out together with management at the same table. We bring capital, network and experience; you bring the knowledge of the business, the customers and the market. Decisions are made together.
What interests us first is what your business delivers and who stands behind it. Customers who keep coming back because the work is right. Employees who know their craft and take responsibility. That has grown over years, and it cannot be bought. We want to preserve it and develop it further with you: with capital, with the right add-on acquisitions and with the experience of how a good business becomes a leading group. Whether your company becomes a platform itself or part of an existing group is something we decide together. The figures below are guidelines, not hurdles. If you are proud of what your team achieves every day, we should get to know each other.
You hand your life's work to people who will build on it, not break it up. Location, name and workforce stay. You decide how quickly you step back.
You take part of your value off the table today, stay invested and sell a second time later, as part of a much larger group.
You want to acquire competitors but lack the capital, the time or the experience with acquisitions. We finance the deals and help with finding and integrating them. You lead the group.
A business unit no longer fits its parent company. As an independent company with its own capital and a clear plan, it can become a new platform.
One hour, confidential, no documents needed. Within five working days we tell you whether and how an investment makes sense for us, together with a first indication of value. It costs you nothing but the hour. And if it is not a fit, we will tell you just as clearly.
Before founding evo Capital, Kevin Elsässer was at Ufenau Capital Partners from October 2016 to February 2026 and was involved in more than 112 transactions there. Below is a selection of buy-and-build groups whose deal teams he worked in on the investor side, each with his role. The investments were made by funds of Ufenau Capital Partners, not by evo Capital.
In 2019 Erni Gartenbau + Planung in Bottighofen on Lake Constance became the platform. It has since grown into one of the large landscaping groups in the German-speaking region, with private gardens, public spaces and natural swimming ponds in German-speaking Switzerland and southern Germany. The businesses continue to operate under their own names.
It started in 2017 with the Karthaus equine clinic in Dülmen. It has since grown into an international group of equine clinics and practices that has added new clinics and new countries step by step, today including North America and New Zealand.
Mökah from Henggart, founded in 1958, became the platform of the Kanalservice Group in 2017. Numerous businesses in Switzerland, Germany and the UK joined in the years that followed. The group cleans, inspects and rehabilitates sewers and pipes for municipalities, cantons and private customers.
In 2017 an IT security provider from Wettingen became the platform. Within four years, 17 add-on acquisitions created a group with around 500 employees at 19 locations in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Benelux. The acquired specialists kept their names and their customers.
Hanseatic Power Service from Rendsburg tests, maintains and repairs electric motors and generators for shipyards, utilities and industry. In 2018 the business became the platform. By 2023 five specialists with complementary technologies had joined, such as KST Kranservice and HERT Kran-Service for crane systems.
Rehms from Borken in the Münsterland region has existed since 1939. The family business provides heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and building automation from a single source. In 2014 it became a platform, and within just under three years five add-on acquisitions turned it into a group of eight companies in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
The investments were made by funds managed or advised by Ufenau Capital Partners, where the investment decisions and responsibility also lay. Kevin Elsässer was employed by Ufenau Capital Partners from October 2016 to February 2026 and worked in the deal teams named on the investor side, never in the operational management of the companies. These are not investments of evo Capital, and neither the companies nor Ufenau Capital Partners are affiliated with evo Capital. All information on the companies is taken from public sources, as of October 2026. Images: illustrative. More in the disclaimer.

evo Capital is a Swiss private investor group based in Lachen SZ. We invest in profitable mid-sized companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria and, together with management, grow them into leading groups through add-on acquisitions. Behind us are entrepreneurs and private investors who think long-term.
evo Capital was founded by Kevin Elsässer. From October 2016 to February 2026 he was at Ufenau Capital Partners in Pfäffikon SZ, most recently as Investment Director, where he helped build several buy-and-build groups on the investor side and was involved in more than 112 transactions. An operating partner, whom we are currently selecting, and a network of former and active entrepreneurs complete the team. More on our About us page.
Profitable SMEs with EUR 3 to 50m in revenue and EUR 0.5 to 5m in EBITDA, headquartered in the DACH region. Smaller businesses too, as add-ons to an existing group. We are particularly interested in service providers in building technology, skilled trades, healthcare and industrial and infrastructure services, in other words markets with many small providers.
We are based in Lachen SZ on Upper Lake Zurich. We invest in companies across Switzerland, Germany and Austria and are happy to meet you at your business.
A well-run business becomes a platform and makes targeted acquisitions of smaller competitors or specialists in its market. Step by step, this creates a group with more locations, more services and more weight in the market. The acquired businesses usually keep their name and their customers.
Yes, succession is one of the most common reasons. Location, name and workforce stay. You decide yourself how quickly you step back from day-to-day business, and we fill new leadership roles together, from within the business or from outside.
They stay. We invest to develop a company further, not to break it up. Location, name and workforce stay, and employment contracts continue unchanged. As the group grows, new roles and career opportunities emerge, often for people from within the business.
Yes, we actually prefer that. As a rule we take a majority and you keep a stake. As the group grows, you benefit a second time when it is sold later, as part of a much larger company.
evo Capital is backed by entrepreneurs and investors who have built groups themselves. The partners make decisions themselves, at the table and not in a committee, and we support companies over many years. Management continues to run day-to-day operations; strategy and acquisitions are worked out together.
It starts with a one-hour confidential conversation, no documents needed. Within five working days we tell you whether an investment is a fit and give a first indication of value. This is followed by a written offer and a lean due diligence of around four to six weeks until signing. The first conversation costs you nothing.
The starting point is sustainable operating profit before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), adjusted for one-off effects. Customer structure, dependence on individual people, investment needs and growth potential also play a role. We give you a first indication of value within five business days of the first conversation and explain openly how we arrived at it.
